Strain relief boots
All of our cables have the option of being fitted with strain relief boots. These plastic boots fit around the end of the lead where the cable enters the jack. The boot helps to prevent unnecessary tension being applied to this junction, which is a common cause of failure in older cables.

Since we believe that strain relief boots will thus provide a more durable cable, these are selected by default on the order form. You may wish to economise by choosing an unbooted cable if durability is not as important as cost.
